Recruitment is coming: 15 PhD opportunities in metabolic disease research

The MEDIculous REMeDy recruitment campaign will open at the end of October 2026,

offering 15 fully funded PhD positions across an international network of academic, clinical and non-academic partners in 12 countries.

The Doctoral Candidates will investigate why metabolic diseases develop differently between individuals and explore new approaches to prevention, treatment and remission. Projects span early metabolic dysfunction and obesity to diabetes and its complications, combining patient data, advanced experimental models, multi-omics and AI.

As a MEDIculous REMeDy Doctoral Candidate, you will go beyond your individual PhD project. You will join an international community of researchers, gain experience across

disciplines, take part in international secondments and Network Training Events, and

develop scientific, communication, leadership and other transferable skills.
