Prof. Emma Börgeson
Emma Börgeson leads a translational immunometabolism group at the Department of Biomedicine and Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus. Her research focuses on inflammatory resolution, lipid mediators and human tissue models in cardiometabolic disease. She is a former Marie Curie Fellow herself and has since also received an ERC Starting Grant support for her research. She has experience supervising doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and Master's students, with mentoring spanning experimental design, data interpretation and career development.
The candidate will enrol in the Biomedicine Graduate Programme at AU's Graduate School of Health, which provides structured doctoral training, courses and supervision. Local opportunities include research seminars, journal clubs, scientific presentation activities and career-development support.
